The Bell Calls! Orchard Covenant Church is kicking off a year-long capital fundraising program, "The Bell Calls," with an evening of celebration and fellowship, including a Community Dinner, on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. There will be special music, and a guest speaker, Rev. Donald Olson, a former pastor of the church. "The Bell Calls" is the theme of the capital program, taken from the 112-year old Meneely bell that rings every Sunday morning to call people to church. The inscription on the bell is taken from Revelation 22:17, "Let him that heareth, say 'Come'." The members and friends of the church are being asked to contribute to improve the facilities of the church, which was built in 1856. The goal of the campaign is to raise $50,000 to continue the legacy of Orchard Covenant Church and by making needed repairs to the building.
